Hello! I just wanted to write a few lines to share our experience with you at the Pre-MTV Awards and Fashion Bash! It was very exciting to meet and greet people of whom I have such high regards for! Overall, Sweet Dreams Maternity Wear was well received! I meet with amazing women & men who loved our line which was extremely encouraging!
One of the first ladies that approached out table was Teri Vaugh (The Steve Harvey Show) who was so excited to see our line and our business! I found her to be a real sweetheart! She promised to stay in touch and I hope she will! The next set of women were Mrs. Tichina Arnold, Mrs. Tisha Campbell and Mrs. Nicole-Ari Kodjoe. Although I remember Tichina and Tisha best from the T.V. show Martin-Tichina’s most recent work is Everybody Hates Chris, and Tisha starred in My Wife and Kids. Nicole’s work includes Brown Sugar, HBO’s Soul Food: she also played opposite Denzel Washington in Remember the Titans (one of my favorite movies). Meeting these women was an inspiration to me! Although, Tichina and Tisha jokingly informed me that they most likely would not be needing my clothes for themselves anytime soon, they thought the idea of maternity lingerie was great, and wanted to know why didn’t I do this sooner! But, Nicole who recently announced her 2nd pregnancy, loved what we had to offer! Her personal favorites was our Purple Chiffon 2-pc (she loved the color) and our White Cotton Gown, calling it comfortable and sexy! Nicole by the way is gorgeous! She looked absolutely regal with her little “bump”!
Later in the afternoon, I had the pleasure of meeting Erica Campbell of the Grammy Award winning gospel duo Mary-Mary! Erica liked everything and thought that our lingerie would make great gifts for the special moms-to-be on her list. Then Ming-Na of ER arrived. She also loved our fashions and wished that she could have worn them when she was pregnant! I also had a chance to meet with Fred Savage and his beautiful Jennifer! They will be expecting their first child in August. She looked absolutely radiant and Fred was on cloud 9! Jennifer was excited to see maternity lingerie! Her personal favorite was the White Cotton Gown and Fred’s was.our Red Silk! These trend-setting women said that our White Cotton Gown would look great paired with jeans or leggings. The White Cotton Gown is so comfortable and perfect for the summer, that it can even be worn by women who aren’t pregnant! When Shar Jackson (The Parkers) approached our table and exclaimed that our fashions were really pretty! Again, one of her favorites was our White Cotton Gown! Desperate Housewive’s Joely Fischer asked as well, “where were you when I was pregnant?” And said she loved our fashions! Meeting Melissa Joan Hart was fun! I remember her best from Clarissa Explains It All! (My oldest daughter used to watch the show faithfully!) She thought our maternity lingerie was a great idea! I also had the pleasure of meeting Kyla Pratt (Dr. Dolittle 3 and One on One). She was darling! One of her favorites was the Red Silk! She expressed that, “pregnant women want to feel sexy too!” Meeting these celebrities who have balanced their successful careers and family life was very inspirational! And for all the moms (and dads) out there who do the same, I applaud you all!

Century City, CA was the place to be! The Boom Boom Room’s Children Gifting Wonderland at the Century Plaza Hotel had a fab turnout while Sweet Dreams Maternity Wear received a special invitation to attend! Celebrity guest included Angela Basset, Tori Spelling, Ali Landry as well as celebrity moms and dads pictured below!
